Employees perform service, maintenance, and setup on the wood shaper including blade changes. Hazardous energies present on the equipment include mechanical and electrical.

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A):Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation: On or about June 23, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees tasked with the control of hazardous energies during service and maintenance of equipment at the facility had received training as authorized employees. Employees service and maintain equipment such as but not limited to saws, jointers, cnc machines, routers, and shapers. Hazardous energies on the equipment includes but is not limited to electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic.
