One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.  (a)  On or about June 28, 2023, the Baleigh industrial tube roller did not have guarding to protect the operator from accessing the rollers . This exposed the operator to amputation hazards.

(a) On June 28, 2023, the M18 deep cut band saw was being used in an unsafe condition and against the manufacturers' recommendations by being mounted and operated backwards which exposed employees to caught in and entanglement hazards which could result in amputations or lacerations.
