29 CFR  1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. Reference: ANSI Z358.1 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Standard 5.4.4 The eyewash unit shall be located on the same level as the hazard and the path of travel shall be free of obstructions that may inhibit the immediate use of the equipment.  Building 35990: Maintenance Bays: On and/or before May 28, 2023, employees used corrosive cleaners such as Super Clean Degreaser to scrub and mop oil/lubricant off maintenance concrete bay floors. The emergency eye wash unit located outside and to the rear of the building was blocked by large stacks of equipment waiting for removal and machinery located inside the building that blocked travel paths of employees.  These conditions potentially exposed the employees to retinal or corneal burns.

The employer had not ensured proper storage of the respirator(s) used for protection purposes which potentially exposed employees to metal fumes inhalation and particulates hazards.

The employer had not ensured the employees were trained on how to properly care, maintain, and store PPE as demonstrated by multiple types of  PPE having missing parts, visibility restricted by layers of dirt, and equipment was improperly stored.  This condition potentially exposed employees to eye, face, and head injuries.
