29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Production Area - LGC Cell: On or about June 8, 2023 employees were exposed to amputation and crushing hazards when operating the Kinefac MC 200 FT/I NC Powerbox Kineroller (SN 1734). Employees would operate and make adjustments with no guarding in place to prevent employees from getting their hands / fingers caught between the stock and feed table rollers. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
