When an employee is exposed to falling objects, the employer did not ensure that each employee wears head protection that meets the requirements of subpart I of this part. And/or the employer did not protect employees from falling objects by implementing one or more of the following methods listed in 1910.28(c)(1)-(3). At the workplace located at 13900 E. 35th, Independence, MO, employees working in the over goods receiving area were exposed to falling objects from the conveyors transporting boxes and materials from a mezzanine to a lower sorting area, when the conveyor did not have measures in place to prevent packages from falling. This was documented on or about 7/6/2023.
