Employees conducting residential framing construction, with the use of portable power operated hand saws, are not being protected from eye injury hazards by utilizing eye and face protective equipment: The employer fails to ensure effective protection against eye injuries as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about July 5, 2023, when employees conducting sawing operations at a temporary residential new construction worksite, located at 4202 Cherry Lake Lane - Lot 17 in Middleburg, Florida 32068, were exposed to eye injury hazards , in that the employees did not have eye and face protective equipment while operating portable power operated hand saws to cut lumber used for framing.  L & L Jax Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1615928, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on December 1, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 6991 Timber Road, Lot 37 Forest Crest Subdivision, Jacksonville, FL 32244.
