OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees are exposed to struck-by and caught between hazards while servicing automobiles without properly inspected and maintained pneumatic automotive lift.  Located in the work bay: On or about July 11, 2023 employees were exposed to struck-by and caught between hazards while working, where inspections and maintenance of the automotive lifts had not been conducted.  The lift does not have load capacities marked, there are no manufacturers instructions available and there are no frequent/periodic inspections conducted on the lift.  Feasible Abatement:  Follow an automotive lift inspections and maintenance program as established in accordance with ANSI/ALIOM 2020 Standards for Automotive Lifts Safety Requirements for Operations, Inspections and Maintenance.  Perform inspections of the automotive lift by a qualified inspector.  Obtain manufacturers instructions for the lift.

29 CFR  1910.22(a)(2): 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The employer did not ensure that the  floor of each workroom is maintained in a clean and, to the extent feasible, in a dry condition. The employer did not ensure that when wet processes are used, drainage is be maintained and, to the extent feasible, dry standing places, such as false floors, platforms, and mats are provided.  Located in the work bay: On or about July 11, 2023 employees were exposed to slip hazards, in that the drainage system in the work bay was not maintained causing water mixed with automotive liquids to pool up on the floor.

Located in the work bay: On or about July 11, 2023 employees were exposed to thermal burns, in that the employer did not provide gloves while employees work on vehicles that had hot spots where the employees worked.

Located in the storage closet of the work bay: On or about July 11, 2023 employees were exposed to employees were exposed to electrical shock and fire hazards, in that electrical equipment was blocked and used for storage.
