29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  (b) On or before 7/11/23, the employer did not ensure that the Monet Desauw Desawyer 200 (#20181809) was guarded. Two of the three exposed circular saw blades were unguarded and within arm's reach of employees. This condition exposed employees to amputation and kickback hazards.  (c) On or before 7/11/23, the employer did not ensure that the Monet Desauw Desawyer 200 (#20191904) was guarded. Two of the three exposed circular saw blades were unguarded and within arm's reach of employees. This condition exposed employees to amputation and kickback hazards.  (d) On or before 7/11/23, the employer did not ensure that the Mitek Industries Inc. floor gantry roller was guarded in accordance with this standard. There were crash bars in front and behind the trolley to stop the machine if it touched an employee. There was no protection between the crash bars and the rollers and there was sufficient space to the sides of the machine where an appendage could be caught drawn under the roller without the crash bar being tripped. This condition exposed employees to struck-by and crushing hazards.   (e) On or before 7/11/23, the employer did not ensure that the Monet Desauw FWA-500 web saw (#20180730) was guarded. Two of the three exposed circular saw blades were unguarded and within arm's reach of employees. This condition exposed employees to amputation and kickback hazards.
