1910.138(b): Employer failed to base the selection of the appropriate hand protection on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the hand protection relative to the task(s) to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the hazards and potential hazards identified:  (a) 11290 Twenty Mile Road, Parker, CO 80134: On or about June 30, 2023, and at times prior, the employer did not providing appropriate protective gloves for chemical and thermal hazards.  Employees were provided with plastic-coated work gloves when handling Candela GentleCool (Cryogen) liquid.  Employees have experienced cold liquid burns from liquid spilling or spraying on the backs of their hands while wearing these gloves.
