Roofers were removing/installing shingles on a roof that varied from 11-20 feet without the use of proper fall protection which exposed them to falls of over 20 feet.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a. GBP Roofing LLC located at 5953 Course Dr. Westerville, OH 43081: On or about July 12, 2023, the employer did not ensure that portable ladders used to gain access to the roof extended at least three feet beyond the upper landing that they were using for access. One extension ladder was used to gain access to roof at the front of the home was positioned approximately 18 inches beyond the upper landing. The following condition exposed employees to falls over 11 feet.
