29 CFR  1910.134(e)(1):The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace:  a.) Klapec Auto Body, located at 180 Regina Drive, Cranberry, PA: On or about 7/14/2023 and times prior thereto, employees were wearing half mask elastomeric respirators (3M brand 7503 series) with organic vapor cartridges (6001) during various work tasks throughout the facility. Some employees were not provided with a medical evaluation for respirator use prior to being fit tested or utilizing a respirator in the workplace.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Klapec Auto Body, located at 180 Regina Drive, Cranberry, PA: On or about 7/14/2023 and times prior thereto, the employees were wearing half mask elastomeric respirators (3M brand 7503 series) with organic vapor cartridges (6001) during various work tasks in the painting area. Some employees were not provided with a fit test prior to initial use of the respirator.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Employees were not trained on the requirements noted in standards including, but not limited to 1910.334(a)(2) (i.e. visual inspections of flexible/extension cords).  The flexible and extension cords were used to power equipment including but not limited to the portable UV lamp/stand.
