29 CFR  1910.106(e)(6)(i): Adequate precautions were not taken to prevent the ignition of flammable vapors:   a) Maintenance Shop - On or about July 14, 2023, adequate precautions were not taken to prevent the ignition of flammable vapors due gasoline being pumped out and transferred from a generator (Honda - EU7000is) fuel tank into a mityvac vacuum pump (Model MV7201) that was not approved for such use exposing employees to fire hazards.

29 CFR  1910.106(e)(6)(ii):  Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 �F (37.8 �C), was dispensed into containers unless the nozzle and container are electrically interconnected:   a) Maintenance Shop - On or about July 14, 2023, gasoline being pumped out and transferred from a generator (Honda - EU7000is) fuel tank into a mityvac vacuum pump (Model MV7201), and then pumped out of the mityvac vacuum pump into a small plastic bucket.  The gasoline was not dispensed from either the generator or the mityvac vacuum pump electrically interconnected exposing an employee to fire hazards.

29 CFR  1910.106(e)(9)(iii): Combustible waste material and residues in a building or unit operating area were not kept to a minimum, stored in covered metal receptacles and disposed of daily:   a) Maintenance Shop - On or about July 14, 2023, gasoline was pumped from a mityvac vacuum pump (Model MV7201) into a small plastic bucket for storage that was not an approved container, along with the mityvac vacuum pump not being approved to be used for such use to transfer gasoline exposing employees to fire hazards.
