29 CFR 1926.403(i)(2)(i)(A): Live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not kept in a room, vault, or similar enclosure accessible only to qualified persons: Job site: 3400 Hamilton Ave, Bldg. 6, Apt. 1E. On or about 7/8/2023, the employer did not ensure live electrical parts were accessible to only qualified persons. A Roanoke Construction, General Contractor, employee and unqualified person was exposed to electric shock when he touched the cover of a junction box. The unqualified employee had access to the contents of the box and was attempting to open the box to inspect the wires. An electrical wire in the junction box was damaged and the system was not grounded, causing the cover of the junction box to be electrified. D&R Building Group was responsible for the safety of the electrical panels/ junction boxes and for ensuring the safety of all electrical circuits.

A Roanoke Construction, General Contractor, employee was exposed to electric shock when he touched the cover of a junction box. An electrical wire in the junction box was damaged and the system was not grounded, causing the cover of the junction box to be electrified. An electrical wire in the junction box was damaged by the sharp edge of the junction box and the system was not grounded, causing the cover of the junction box to be electrified. D&R Building Group was responsible for the safety of the electrical panels/ junction boxes and for ensuring the safety of all electrical circuits.
