29CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut:  Building 4, Fire Shop: The 10-inch DEWALT (DW 746 Serial # 15469) table saw used for ripping purposes, was energized and was not provided with a blade guard that adjust to the thickness of the materials being cut and remain in contact with it. Employees were exposed to severe laceration related injuries.   The USDA Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29CFR 1910.213(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1605749, citation number 01 , item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/26/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 100 Forni Road, Placerville, CA 95667.  The USDA Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29CFR 1910.213(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1605769, citation number 01 , item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/26/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 26820 Silver Drive, Pioneer, CA 95666

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled equipment was not installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing and labeling.   Conference Center Building No. 10: In the following instances listed or labeled equipment were not installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing and labeling exposing employees to electrical hazards:  1 - One power strip with six plug-in electrical outlets was used in series to power a microwave, not in accordance with the listing or labeling for the power strip.  2 - A 2x4 metal receptacle box designed to be fixed to a structure was not fixed and was energized by an orange flexible cord, not in accordance with the listing or labeling for the receptacle box.  Employees were exposed to electrical hazards.  The USDA, Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1628763, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/21/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 225 W 8th Street, Alturas, CA  96101.  The USDA, Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1605773, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/26/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 7600 Wentworth Springs Road, Georgetown, CA 95634.

Employees were exposed to electrical hazards.  The USDA Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.304(g)(5), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1605759, citation number 01, item number 01, and was affirmed as a final order on 09/26/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 4260 Eight Mile Road, Camino, CA 95709
