ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2010, Occupational and Educational Personal Eye and Face Protection Devices, incorporated by reference in § 1926.6: 28 Montgomery St., Chicopee, MA: On or about July 25, 2023, a supervisory employee was observed using an electric screw gun to install roofing insulation panels and was not wearing approved , he was wearing sunglasses which did not comply with ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2010.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (b) of this section, each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. 28 Montgomery St., Chicopee: On or about July 25, 2023, four employees were observed working on a low slope roof engaged in roofing activities on a roof with unprotected sides and edges greater than 11 feet to the next lower and were not protected by either guard rails, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or flagging and monitor systems exposing them to fall from height hazards. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29CFR1903.19 (d) (1). Nextgen Roofing was previously cited for a repeat violation of an equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b) 13, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1543188,, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1543188, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/9/21, with respect to a workplace located at46 Lincoln Ave., Northampton, MA.
