29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7):Industrial trucks were not examined before being placed in service: Parker Hannifin Corporation located at 1290 Waterville Monclova Road in Waterville, Ohio 43566: On or about July 15, 2023 the employer did not ensure that forklifts were examined before being placed in service. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with sulfuric acid and hydrogen gas in that the batteries used in Raymond Battery Forklifts were not inspected prior to use. Corrosion was observed around the battery terminals, cables, and vent caps of batteries in operation.
