On July 24, 2023, and times prior thereto, employees engaged in cornice work on a residential home from a single pole scaffold and the work platform was not 18 inches wide exposing the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 19 feet to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section. On July 24, 2023, and times prior thereto, employees worked from a pole scaffold without fall protection systems while installing cornice material on the exterior of a residential home. The employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 19 feet to the ground below.
