29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes.  a. On or about July 24, 2023, an employee was cutting a bolt at the lower portion on the pipe flange of the secondary Sulfur Dioxide reactor and the bolt snapped exposing the employee to 99% Sulfuric Acid.  The employee sustained burns to the right forearm and right hand.  The employer did not ensure the employee used appropriate hand and arm protection.
