29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  Shop Area: On or about 7/31/20223 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that,   (a) Pearson Shear machine Model 728007/5 had a broken guard creating a hole six inches wide by fourteen inches long.  (b) Wilton VSG Drill Press Model 2025 SN 1517 had missing guard.  (c) Chicago model DP-515, S/N 91532 had missing guard.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
