29 CFR 1926.651(i)(1): Where the stability of adjoining buildings, walls, or other structures was endangered by excavation operations, support systems such as shoring, bracing or underpinning was not provided to ensure the stability of such structures for the protection of employees: a) At the worksite, VA Medical Center-Bath, 76 Veterans Ave, Bath, NY 14810. On or about July 19, 2023, employees working in an excavation were making stress cuts to concrete walls. The employer failed to ensure shoring was provided for the stability of the walls.
