The exit routes must be located as far away as practical from each other so that if one exit route is blocked by fire or smoke, employees can evacuate using the second exit route:   a) 1204 E. 12th St., Wilmington, DE 19802 (Building #3/ North side Door): On or about August 3, 2023, employees working in the warehouse were exposed to egress delays due to exit doors that were rusted shut, locked, or blocked resulting in the exit doors not being operational. This hazard would have resulted in exposing employees to potential entrapment due to smoke or fire during an emergency evacuation.  b) 1204 E. 12th St., Wilmington, DE 19802 (Building #3/ Southside Door): On or about August 3, 2023, employees working in the warehouse were exposed to egress delays due to exit doors that were missing door hardware and blocked resulting in the exit doors not being operational. This hazard would have resulted in exposing employees to potential entrapment due to smoke or fire during an emergency evacuation.  c) 1204 E. 12th St., Wilmington, DE 19802 (Eastside Door/Building #4): On or about August 3, 2023, employees working in the warehouse were exposed to egress delays due to exit doors that were locked using a hasp resulting in the exit doors not being operational. This hazard would have resulted in exposing employees to potential entrapment due to smoke or fire during an emergency evacuation.
