29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (a) Independence Seaport Museum located at 211 S. Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19106: On or about August 3, 2023, the employer did not develop, implement and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program for employees handling hazardous chemicals. Employees are exposed to hazardous chemicals including but not limited to the following: -Talc, not containing asbestiform fibers, bis-[4-(2,3-epoxipropoxi)phenyl]propane, etc. contained in AMERCOAT 235 LIGHT GRAY 235B2 -titanium dioxide, Nepheline syenite, 2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethanol, etc. contained in PITT-TECH PLUS EP DTM ACRYLIC SEMI-GLOSS WHITE/PASTEL BASE -Ceramic microspheres, Bisphenol A Diglycidyl Ether Polymer, etc. contained in CeramAlloy CP + AC Base -etc.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Independence Seaport Museum located at 211 S. Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19106: On or about August 3, 2023, the employer did not provide adequate hazardous chemical training for employees.
