29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazards created by in-going nip points, rotating parts, and/or flying chips and sparks: a) On or about August 7, 2023, where employees were exposed to amputation hazards while operating the notcher machine without the use of a guard. The Custom Cut Lumber was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1521005, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 17, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 145 CR 2423, Alto, Texas 75925.
