29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Employees on scaffolds more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level were not protected from falling to that lower level by fall protection established in paragraphs (g)(1)(i)-(vii) of this section: (a): On or about August 9, 2023, The employer did not ensure that a pump jack scaffold was free of potential fall hazards. Employees operating at approximately 13.6 feet in height or more above a lower level and were not protected from falls while engaged in siding activities on a residential structure.

29 CFR 1926.454(a):The employer shall have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. The training shall include the pertinent requirements of this subpart. (a): On or about August 9, 2023, The employer did not ensure that each employee performing work on a ladder jack scaffold was appropriately trained. Two employees were on a pump jack scaffold installing siding, which measured at approximately 13.6 feet in height. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
