Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment that was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed in the hazard of being struck by fragments of Thermoplastic Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) plastic pipe in the event that the PVC plastic pipe rupture: a) In the detailing area at 28739 FL 54, Wesley Chapel, as observed on or about 8/10/2023, the employer exposed employees to a struck by hazard from flying polyvinyl chloride fragments (PVC) in that the PVC piping ran along the back wall was used in exposed above ground locations to transport compressed air at approximately 175 psig.
