29 CFR 1926.600(a)(3)(i): Heavy machinery, equipment or parts thereof, which were suspended or held aloft by slings, hoists, or jacks were not substantially blocked or cribbed to prevent falling or shifting before employees were permitted to work under or between them.  a. In front of the building - On or about August 17, 2023, employees were exposed to struck by hazards while traveling under suspended loads of masonry block lifted by forklift equipment.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1926.452(b)(8): The platform did not rest on a bearer at an angle other than a right angle shall be laid first, and platforms which rest at right angles over the same bearer shall be laid second, on top of the first platform.  a. Scaffold - On or about August 17, 2023, employees were working from a scaffold platform that ran at a 90-degree angle from the side brackets of two separate fabricated frame scaffolds. At no point did the platform between the two scaffolds rest upon a designed or fabricated bearer intrinsic to the scaffold body.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
