29 CFR 1910.333(a)(2): Where exposed live parts were not deenergized, other safety related work practices were not used to protect employees who could be exposed to the electrical hazards involved: (a) On or about 8/18/2023, at 3101 27th Avenue North Redstone Arsenal, the employer exposed employees to electrical hazard, in that an employee in the process of locating proper space to drill holes to mount D-Rings in a surveillance van (2008 Chevrolet van, model# CC5C042 with tag# W400187) opened an energized (100A-240 VAC, 250 VDC) electric control/distribution panel door without safety related work practices. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
