29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a. On or about August 14, 2023, in the production room, employees were exposed to chemicals including, but not limited to, Ethyl Cyanoacrylate while "splash loading" hazardous materials. The employer failed to require the use of appropriate body protection when transferring hazardous materials including Ethyl Cyanoacrylate. The H. B. Fuller Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.132(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1324171, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 17, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 9405 & 9411 Corsair Road, Frankfort, IL 60423.

On or about August 14, 2023 the employer did not ensure that it documented its retraining of employees to ensure that employees had the knowledge of the employer's requirement that an employee use the personal protective equipment for body protection that was required while the employee was transferring Ethyl Cyanoacrylite into a container.
