OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall, struck-by, and crushed-by hazards from structural collapse: a) On or about August 23, 2023, approximately eight (8) employees were attempting to manually lift and place a prefabricated wooden gabled wall fabricated onsite for a new residential extension. The crew did not use any supports or other assisting devices to secure and stabilize the wall during the lifting and placement operation, exposing employees to an unplanned collapse of the wall, resulting in serious struck-by and crushing injuries.
