OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards when removing hydraulic hoses without relieving pressure in the system before removal.  (a):  Garfield High School Field, Garfield, NJ - Employees working on a Caterpillar 330 CL Excavator were exposed to struck by hazards when removing hydraulic hoses without releasing pressure before removal. The pressurized hose being removed from the Excavator's hydraulic hammer forcefully struck an employee in the face resulting in multiple injuries including broken bones, on or about March 9, 2023.    Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
