29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicated that any employee's exposure equaled or exceed the 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program: a) On or about August 22, 2023, in the sawmill employees working a 9-hour shift on the planer line had sound level meter readings of 91.9 decibels with an 8-hour shift projected dose of 138.8%. b) On or about February 5, 2024, in the planer mill employees working a 9-hour shift on the planer line had sound level meter readings of 90.3 decibels, with an 8-hour projected dose of 121.9%. c) On or about February 5, 2024, in the planer mill where employees working a 9-hour shift on the planer line had sound level meter readings of 95.6 decibels, with an 8-hour projected dose of 218.7%. d) On or about February 5, 2024, in the planer mill where employees working a 9-hour shift on the planer line had sound level meter readings of 95.8 decibels, with an 8-hour projected dose of 225.1%. e) On or about February 5, 2024, in the planer mill where employees working a 9-hour shift on the planer line had sound level meter readings of 94.3 decibels, with an 8-hour projected dose of 182.4%.
