29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):  Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  On or about August 3, 2023, at a strip mall re-roofing site located at 229 I-35 Frontage Road in Moore, OK, employees were observed working on the roof of the structure without the use of fall protection.  This exposed the employees to a fall hazard greater than six(6) feet to the ground below.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:   On or about August 3, 2023, at a strip mall re-roofing site located at 229 I-35 Frontage Road in Moore, OK, employees were allowed to use ladders that did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing.  This exposed the employees to a fall hazard.
