29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1):Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: (a) 400 E Spruce Street, Palmyra, PA; production floor emergency exit doors - On or about August 30, 2023 multiple emergency exit doors from the production floor were secured during the workday by means of a U-shaped bar dropped into two eye-bolts. Employees need special knowledge to remove the U-shaped bar prior to opening the door in the event of an emergency evacuation. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
