29 CFR  1910.142(f)(2): Floors were not of smooth finish and were not impervious to moisture.  Walls and partitions of shower rooms were not smooth and impervious to the height of splash:  a) Second floor shower stalls:  On and/or before September 11, 2023, employees were required to live in the fire station and use the shower facilities.  The shower walls and floors were in disrepair.  The shower floors had severe corrosion and/or peeling of the floor material.  The caulking of the shower walls was coming apart and missing in some sections.  The employer did not ensure shower floors and walls were impervious to moisture.  This condition potentially exposed employees to mycotoxins from mold.
