29 CFR 1928.57(a)(6)(iii):Instruction was not provided to stop engine, disconnect the power source, and wait for all machine movement to stop before servicing, adjusting, cleaning, or unclogging the equipment such as, but not limited to, the leveler: (a) 1161 Park Road Blandon, PA; Fill-in department at Plant 12 - On or about September 13, 2023 employees were exposed to caught in hazards when operating the leveling equipment. Adequate instruction was not provided to ensure employees stopped the equipment, disconnected the power source, and waited for all components to stop moving prior to servicing the equipment. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1928.57(c)(3)(i):Functional components, such as choppers, rotary beaters, mixing augers, feed rolls, conveying augers, grain spreaders, stirring augers, sweep augers, and feed augers, which must be exposed for proper function, were not guarded to the fullest extent which will not substantially interfere with the normal functioning of the component: (a) 1161 Park Road Blandon, PA; Fill-in department at Plant 12 - On or about September 13, 2023 employees were exposed to caught in hazards when operating the leveling equipment since the functional components of the leveler equipment were not guarded to the fullest extent possible to prevent employees from making contact with moving parts of the leveler. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
