29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. A) A) James Roofing on or about September 19, 2023 at the address of 3930 Amhurst Drive, Hermitage, PA: Employees were standing in the equipter R4000 transporting material to and from the roof. The employees were exposed to falls of roughly 10 feet without the benefit of any type of fall protection, while using the dumpster as a personal lift. Abatement Note: Per the manufactures manual this machine is NOT to be used for personnel lift.
