29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a. 625 US 46 East, Parsippany, NJ - Travel Lodge - First, Second, and Third floor levels, exterior pedestrian walkway The employer did not ensure each employee was protected from falls by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Employees engaged in commercial construction activities were removing and installing new hand railing metal brackets at unprotected edges of walkways, at heights of approximately 24 feet without any means of fall protection. Violation occurred or about September 19, 2023
