1910.219(c)(2)(ii) One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect employees in the machine area from hazards such as shaft that create hazards of ingoing nip points and rotating parts. Employees were exposed to a pinch hazard created by the pneumatic I-beam expander on the roof-lining table when preparing custom lighting orders for clients. These custom lighting operations created an opening in the roofing material where employees could inadvertently place their hands or fingers into the opened portion of the I-beam expander when it is retracted at the conclusion of the work process.
