Employees were using elastomeric 3M respirators with filters and there was no written respiratory protection program. Employees were not provided a medical evaluation prior to using the 3M respirators with Honeywell N195 Particulate filters

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At a worksite located at 4251 Doniphan Drive, Neosho, Missouri. Employees were exposed to caught in or struck by hazards and serious injuries .When clearing jams when operating the 2 wood splitting machines, known to the company as the Cord King 20-30 HO, Model 44. Employees are required to hold a piece of wood in between the hydraulic feeder and the splitter, while the machine operator inches the hydraulic feeder closer to the splitter until the wood is touching the wood jam clogging the splitter.
