29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about 9/29/2023, at 1401 N 2nd Street, Fort Pierce, Florida.    a) At the mixing department, employees were exposed to an amputation hazard while pouring powder into a small mixing kettle machine (Groen, model WPA, No. 18.05) that lacked a guard.  b) At the mixing department, employees were exposed to an amputation hazard while pouring liquids into two large mixing kettle machines (Guangzhou Shang Yu Chemical Machinery Equipment Co., Model and s/n unknown) that lacked guards.  c) At the mixing department, employees were exposed to an amputation hazard while rolling out mixture with a triple roll mill machine (Paxson Machine Co. Model No. 662V, No. 475P) that had unguarded roller's nip points on both sides.  d) At the mixing department, employees were exposed to an amputation hazard while using a manual Drum Lifter (Dayton, p/n 30YP23) that lacked a guard. e) At the powder batching room, employees were exposed to an amputation hazard while pouring powder into the hopper of a micropulverizer mill machine (local # - PB1, model - SHR-100, s/n 100L) that lacked a guard.
