29 CFR  1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii)    a - 117 Sofia Drive, Manalapan NJ: A worker walking and working from a residential structure's pitched roof was not trained on fall protection means and methods as  specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii). This worker was exposed to fall hazards in excess of 19 feet while not utilizing a lanyard attached to their full body harness and an anchor when working and walking from this pitched roof. Condition noted on or about 10/04/23.   NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
