29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  On or about October 4, 2023, employees were using pneumatic nail guns to install exterior siding on a residential roof under construction without the use of eye protection, exposing employees to the hazard of being struck by flying objects.

On or about October 4, 2023, and at times prior thereto, employees were installing exterior siding while working from a pump jack at heights up to approximately 10 feet that was not secured with rigid triangular bracing, exposing employee to fall hazards.
