29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2)(ii):Each employee on a walking/working surface 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level where leading edges are under construction, but who is not engaged in the leading edge work, shall be protected from falling by a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. If a guardrail system is chosen to provide the fall protection, and a controlled access zone has already been established for leading edge work, the control line may be used in lieu of a guardrail along the edge that parallels the leading edge. On or about October 5, 2023, the employer exposed employees on a commercial construction roof to fall hazards by not providing fall protection to leading edges at heights of approximately 14 feet.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about October 5, 2023, at commercial construction site in Lubbock, TX, employees were exposed to eye injuries while operating pneumatic nail guns and paint spray gun without wearing eye protection.
