29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m)  or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b):    a) On October 5, 2023, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing installation of a roof on a residential home, approximately 9 and 10 feet above the ground below, were not secured to a personal fall arrest systems or other means of fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards.  No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Where a portable ladder was used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder.     a) On October 5, 2023, at the above addressed jobsite, the portable ladder used by employees to access and egress the roof of the house, measuring approximately 10 feet from ground to eve, was not extended to have the side rails extend at least three (3) feet above the upper landing.    No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
