29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice: a) Near dishwasher in kitchen of Carl Vinson VA Medical Center: On and at times prior to October 5, 2023, the employer exposed employees to slip, trip, and fall hazards in that flooring tile around the flood drain is uneven. b) At Combie oven in kitchen of Carl Vinson VA Medical Center: On and at times prior to October 5, 2023, the employer exposed employees to slip, trip, and fall hazards in that condensation leaks from Combie oven door is creating pooled water where employees must walk. c) In hallway between freezer and food bank of kitchen of Carl Vinson VA Medical Center: On and at times prior to October 5, 2023 the employer exposed employees to slip, trip, and fall hazards in that uneven flooring tile is located in a area of high traffic for kitchen employees and equipment. d) In freezer of kitchen of Carl Vinson VA Medical Center: On and at times prior to October 5, 2023 the employer exposed employees to slip, trip, and fall hazards in that ice build-up is located on the floors while employees perform food preparation duties.
