29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: a) On or about October 10, 2023, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 16 feet while performing manual roofing work activities without the use of fall protection or a warning line and safety monitoring system. Thomas Wilger dba T.A.W. Building Services, LLC., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b)(10) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1659491, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 15, 2023, with respect to a worksite located at 700 W. Dundee Road, Wheeling, Illinois. No abatement certification or documentation required for this violation.
