29 CFR  1910.36(g)(2):An exit access must be at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points. Where there is only one exit access leading to an exit or exit discharge, the width of the exit and exit discharge must be at least equal to the width of the exit access.  a) On October 18, 2023, the employer did not ensure exit access in Area 51 was at least 28 inches wide at all points, the exit access aisles measured at approximately 8 inches to 19 inches. Employees were permitted to walk and work in the staging area of samples to apply labels on the products and to wrap for shipment.  b) On October 18, 2023, the employer did not ensure exit access in the Finished Goods Warehouse Aisle 4-5 was at least 28 inches wide at all points, the access aisles measured at approximately 7 inches to 16 inches. Employees were permitted to stage doors in the exit access aisle to prepare for shipment.  c) On October 18, 2023, the employer did not ensure exit access in the Finished Goods Warehouse Aisle 6-7 was at least 28 inches wide at all points, the access aisle was completely blocked by staged doors. Employees were permitted to stage doors in the exit access aisle to prepare for shipment.
