29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions: a) 2732 22nd Street, Greeley, CO 80634: On or about October 17, 2023, and at times prior, employees were allowed to enter the excavation to install a new water line without any of these necessary precautions in place. The trench was measured to be approximately 13 feet in depth, 33 feet 3 inches in length, and 4 feet 9 inches in width.
