29 CFR  1910.151(c):  Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: Reference: ANSI Z358.1 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Standard 5.4.2: The eyewash unit shall be in accessible locations that require no more than 10 seconds to reach, located on the same level as the hazard, and the path of travel shall be free of obstructions that may inhibit the immediate use of the equipment. Reference: ANSI Z358.1 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Standard 5.4.6: The eyewash unit temperature delivered by emergency equipment should be 'tepid' (between 60�F (16�C) and 100�F(38�C)) which involves providing both hot and cold water to the unit and installing a mixing valve to blend the water to the desired temperature.  Laundry Room and Swimming Pool Pump/Storage Area:  On and/or before October 18, 2023, employees conducted operations using corrosive products in the following areas: a. Laundry Room: Employees used Pure Bright Bleach, Ecolab Stainblaster destainer, and other spot degreasers without an available eye wash station. b. Swimming Pool Pump/Storage Area: Employees used Yellow Blaster treatment where an eye wash station did not produce 'tepid' temperature water. Employees were potentially exposed to retinal and corneal burns.
