29 CFR  1910.151(c):  Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: Reference: ANSI Z358.1 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Standard 5.4.2: The eyewash unit shall be in accessible locations that require no more than 10 seconds to reach, located on the same level as the hazard, and the path of travel shall be free of obstructions that may inhibit the immediate use of the equipment. Reference: ANSI Z358.1 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Standard 5.4.6: The eyewash unit temperature delivered by emergency equipment should be 'tepid' (between 60�F (16�C) and 100�F (38�C)) which involves providing both hot and cold water to the unit and installing a mixing valve to blend the water to the desired temperature.  Laundry Room:  On and/or before March 27, 2024, employees conducted operations using corrosive products such as Pure Bright Bleach without an available eye wash station within 10 seconds of travel unobstructed. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to retinal and corneal burns.  Hotel Zoso was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR  1910.151(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number1704193, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 27, 2023 with respect to a workplace located at 150 South Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262.
